Artistic Salmon Flies
Return to Galleries
I am a fan of all forms of rod fishing but particularly fly fishing. At one point I realized that I could tie my own flies. After tying around 200 fishing flies, I branched out in the different color of feathers and materials that I could use for flies. From there I discovered flies that are gorgeous and largely not meant to be fished. After research, spending too much money on materials, and becoming somewhat of an expert on feathers and the birds that they come from, I have a huge collections of artistic salmon flies. They are specifically salmon flies because salmon specific hooks are big, elegantly curved, and the wide range of sizes restricts the rules of what materials you can use depending on the size. Most of my wings are a bit shorter because bigger feathers are hard to find and hard to fund.
